England’s Private School Problem: An Introduction

‘England’s private school problem’ is a major multimedia project aiming to provide a detailed insight into why England rugby is dominated with private school players and also to take a deeper look into whether state school players get the same opportunities.

The major multimedia project (MMP) is part of the final year of study for Multimedia Journalism students at Bournemouth university. It allows students to demonstrate their abilities across all platforms and produce an original piece of unique journalism.

‘England’s private school problem’ will largely be formed of a written magazine feature. As well as this the project will also use short TV and Radio packages and online added value to ensure it is at the forefront of multimedia journalism.

This MMP is challenging yet incredibly exciting and I am looking forward to jumping into the England Rugby world and producing an original study into England’s rugby private school problem.
